Waberer’s is the largest road transport company in Hungary and one of the largest road freight transport companies in Europe. The business partnered with MidEuropa in May 2011 after a year of bilateral discussions to support its journey of organic and acquisitive growth as the founder-led business became more client-centric and institutional. 

Waberer’s is the clear leader in Central & Eastern Europe, and its Hungarian base is a strategic geographic position along major transport corridors and with many regional distribution centres and manufacturing plants. The firm was the natural consolidator in a highly fragmented market, and a series of target acquisitions combined with investment into IT and operational efficiency saw the business grow sufficiently to list on the Budapest Stock Exchange in 2017 before being sold to the Indotek Group in 2021.
