MidEuropa closely followed Optegra’s development, as it grew into a pan-European ophthalmology champion before investing in February 2023 and becoming a majority shareholder in the Company. MidEuropa partnered-up with the management team, who made a meaningful reinvestment into the business and the previous sponsor H2. With the investment in Optegra MidEuropa continues to focus on attractive and growth-oriented healthcare opportunities, building upon a strong track record in developing and exiting national and regional European healthcare leaders.

Optegra is a fast-growing and highly integrated ophthalmology platform, holding #1 or #2 position in four attractive European markets; Czechia, Poland, Slovakia and the UK. The Company offers a wide range of procedures including cataract, AMD, and vision correction for both publicly reimbursed and private pay patients. Optegra operates 38 state-of-the art facilities and performs over 130k surgical procedures per year with a focus on industry-leading clinical outcomes and outstanding patient experience.
