MidEuropa acquires leading construction software platform in the Czech Republic
MidEuropa, a leading private equity investor with deep roots in Central Europe, today announced the acquisition of the Czech Republic’s leading construction software platform from DEK Group. The platform brings together ÚRS, First information systems and Callida, whose software and proprietary construction data are used daily by contractors, developers, cost estimators and public authorities across Czech Republic and Slovakia. The transaction marks another investment for MidEuropa in a mission-critical software business serving a resilient end market with strong structural growth drivers. The acquisition is expected to close in the second half of 2026.
The platform occupies a unique position within the construction ecosystem. Its software supports the entire project lifecycle, from cost estimation and budgeting to project management and digital construction diaries, while its proprietary cost database has become the industry standard for construction pricing and specifications in the Czech Republic.
As construction continues to digitise, demand is growing for software that improves efficiency and decision-making. The increasing adoption of AI is expected to reinforce the value of trusted local data and embedded workflows, creating new opportunities for automation and productivity across the sector. MidEuropa will support the company’s next phase of growth through continued investment in product innovation, AI-enabled capabilities and selective acquisitions, with the ambition of building the leading regional construction software platform.
Pavel Krajíček, CEO of ÚRS, Boris Kalisch, CEO of First information systems, and Daniel Zeithaml, CEO of Callida, said:
“Together we have built leading products that play an essential role in the daily work of construction professionals across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We are excited to partner with MidEuropa as we accelerate innovation, expand our product offering and continue delivering greater value to our customers.”
Marek Rodak, Partner at MidEuropa, said:
“Construction remains one of the largest industries undergoing digital transformation. We were attracted by the platform’s market-leading position and unique proprietary data assets, which create high barriers to entry and are becoming even more valuable as AI adoption accelerates. We see significant opportunities to invest behind the business and build a strong market leader.”
Zbigniew Rekusz, Partner at MidEuropa and Head of its Warsaw Office, added:
“This investment reflects our long-standing conviction in Central European technology businesses that combine strong local market positions with significant regional growth potential. Together with the management team, we look forward to accelerating product development and expanding the platform.”
MidEuropa was advised by VCP (M&A), Kinstellar and Čavrak (legal), EY (financial, tax and ESG), and Howden (insurance).
