MidEuropa Announces the Promotion of Three New Partners

MidEuropa, a leading private equity firm with deep roots in Central Europe, is pleased to announce the promotion of three new Partners at the firm. Investment Principals, Pawel Malicki and Marek Rodak, based in our Warsaw office, as well as our Operating Principal, Filip Kisdobranski, based in our London office, have been promoted to Partners effective 1 January 2025.

Pawel Malicki joined MidEuropa in 2018 and has been serving as a Principal and Co-Head of the Healthcare sector. He oversees deal sourcing, execution, and investment monitoring and is an integral part of MidEuropa’s deal team overseeing investments in Diagnostyka and JS Hamilton, where he has been involved in leading numerous add-on acquisitions. Most recently, he also originated and led the investment into Optegra, an ophthalmology care provider operating across Europe.

Before joining MidEuropa, Pawel worked at Enterprise Investors for three years. He has been recognised as one of Private Equity News’ Rising Stars of Private Equity in 2023 and is a board member of the Polish Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. Pawel holds a Master’s in Finance & Accounting from the Warsaw School of Economics.

Marek Rodak joined MidEuropa in 2017 and has been a Principal responsible for deal sourcing, execution, and investment monitoring. Marek covers primarily the Technology & Business Services sectors and has been involved in transactions such as Allegro, Intive, Diagnostyka, PKL, and Hortex. He leads MidEuropa’s investment in Displate and plays a key role in Symfonia, a leading innovator in software solutions for accounting and payroll for SMEs in the region, where he led the partial exit of the company to Accel-KKR in 2023.

Prior to MidEuropa, Marek worked at Novator Partners and in the TMT investment banking division at J.P. Morgan in London. He has been recognised as one of Private Equity News’ Rising Stars of Private Equity in 2022. Marek holds a Master’s in Finance & Accounting from the Warsaw School of Economics.

Filip Kisdobranski joined MidEuropa in 2015 and initially worked within the investment team. Since 2020, he has been a key member of MidEuropa’s Operating Team, playing an instrumental role in driving value creation across the portfolio. Filip has been leading growth initiatives in investments such as MediGroup, M+ Group, Mlinar, Hortex, Regina Maria, Imlek, Knjaz Milos, Bambi, Alpha Medical, Diagnostyka, and Cargus.

Prior to joining MidEuropa, Filip worked in the investment banking division at Deutsche Bank in London. He holds a Master’s in Finance from Bocconi University and a Bachelor’s in Management from St. Francis College.
