JS Hamilton

MidEuropa invested in Polish Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) company JS Hamilton in August 2018 after 18 months of relationship building with the founder.

The business covers testing of food, environment, cosmetics, and packaging as well as cargo and engineering inspections, benefitting from strong market growth owing to long-term regulatory and social trends: combination of increasing biodiversity awareness, changing customer habits, climate change, need to feed a growing population leading to more sustainable agricultural practices, product innovation and increased government regulations to protect agricultural environments, which require TIC to ensure the new standards are met.

JS Hamilton is Poland’s largest independent TIC player with growing CEE presence, covering the region from its 24 state-of-the-art laboratories. 

Partnership highlights:

• Continuing focus on food testing as a core segment whilst expanding in selected adjacent high-growth non-food areas
• Consolidating the Polish market using JS Hamilton as a strong platform
• Expanding across CEE both organically and via M&A
